Logical or deductive reasoning involves using a given set of facts or data to deduce other facts by reasoning logically. It involves drawing specific conclusions based on premises. Transitive inference, or linear syllogistic reasoning, is one of the simplest forms of logical reasoning, and involves combining two premises R(a,b) and R(b,c) to draw the conclusion that R(a,c).
